The Grand Tourists grew out of The Marfa Municipal Alliance for Dead Country and Folk Singers, a community band in Marfa, TX with over 50 members. The Alliance host events that pay tribute to a dead folk or country legend on the day of his or her death to help local charities in immediate need.
